During this consultation our DJ will understand the style wedding you want; he'll ask about things you've thought about, and many that you haven't. You can be as detailed as you like, or just let him do the "driving" - he probably has been through this more times than yourself - and you're in good hands! With NO pressure, and NO sales talk, you will appreciate his straight answers and "Can-Do" attitude. You will find him to be upbeat, personable, knowledgeable, and professional. Above all, you will find your DJ worthy of entrusting him with your Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration. When your big day finally comes, amidst all the delightful chaos, your DJ will be a reassuringly familiar face, and you'll be able to simply relax and enjoy the celebration as it should be. Life is good!
Schedule of Events: A Starting Point
Our DJ's will create that perfect festive atmosphere with the utmost in professionalism, in way that is custom tailored to reflect your unique sense of style. Here is an approach we have used at many successful events, and is a good base plan to start from:
- The Opening Events: For the cocktail hour and opening activities we offer many activities including dancing games, trivia games, dance contests, Karaoke, and dancing for the young and the young at heart!
- The Candle-Lighting Ceremony: Following the opening, we often bring the overall energy down with the Candle-Lighting Ceremony, where our celebrant can read a short passage for each of 13 special people in his or her life. Prior to the big day, the celebrant is asked to select up to 13 songs that carry special meaning with those who have been an influence on his/her journey.
- The Hora: Next we can ask the guests to join in for the Hora, where they can circle the celebrant and the immediate family, and raise the person(s) of honor in a chair(s), to the traditional song "Hava Nagila", or any song of choice.
- The Blessing/Dinner: Following this "uplifting" dance, we can again bring the energy down with a blessing over the bread and wine, which is then often followed by dining.
- The Party: After dinner, we can again return to more dancing, fun and games, and of course great music for guests of all ages!
As mentioned above, the sequence of these events is only a suggestion, and we can mix them up in the order that best suits your vision and preference. Our only rule is that everyone have fun!
